Basics on A.R.Murugadoss A.R.Murugadoss was born in Kallakurichi, Tamil Nadu, India. He has a degree in Arts from Bishop Heber college, Trichy. He moved to Chennai and assisted the writer Kalaimani and was the Assistant Director for movies like Vaali and Khushi.
A.R.Murugadoss’ Movies Dheena (2001) was A.R.Murugadoss’ directorial debut. The movie starred Ajith Kumar and was a commercial success. Ramana (2002) which starred Vijaykanth and Simran again took the box office by a storm.
In 2005, Ghajini, a story about a man with a short term memory loss, became an instant hit. It starred Surya, Asin and Nayantara. The movie which was remade in Hindi with Aamir Khan in the lead broke records when it earned more than 200 crores in 2008.
Stalin (2006) was about an army man and starred Chiranjeevi and Trisha. This movie was yet another high grosser.
