Amrita Rao (born June 17, 1981) is an Indian model and Bollywood actress.
Amrita was born to well-to-do Chitrapur Saraswat Brahmin family.Her dad's name is Deepak Rao. She speaks English, Hindi, Marathi & Konkani.
She stands about 5'5'' tall.She entered the world of modeling quite by chance, when she auditioned for an advertising film for Fairever Face Cream. Sucess came thereafter. She was picked up for the close up ad which brought her the much wanted fame. Within months she became the model for the top brands of the country.
