Anees Bazmee is a director and screenplay writer in Bollywood.
He penned the dialogues for Hum Farishte Nahin (1988) and since then has written screenplays and dialogues for several movies belonging to the romance and comedy genre, like Bol Radha Bol (1992), Aankhen (1993), Raja Babu (1994), Pyaar Tho Hona Hi Tha (1998), Mujhse Shaadi Karoge (2004), Welcome (2007) and Singh is Kinng (2008).
Anees Bazmee began directing movies with Hulchul (1995), a non performer at the box office. He did better when he brought together Kajol and Ajay Devgan again in Pyar Tho Hona Hi Tha (1998), a remake of French Kiss.
No Entry (2005) and Welcome (2007) became major hits as did the Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif starrer Singh Is Kinng.
He is working on two movies – It’s My Life (2009) and No Problem (2010).
