Born on 13th August 1962 to the actor Jagdish Raj, Anita Raj, started her career as an actress in 1981.

Anita Raj’s first movie was opposite Raj Babbar in Prem Geet (1981). She played a young woman who is diagnosed with brain tumour. She was part of Zameen Aasmaan (1984) which starred Sanjay Dutt, Rekha, Rakhee and Shashi Kapoor.
She was seen as Tulsi in J.P.Dutta’s Ghulami (1985), which was based on caste discrimination. This was followed by Jwala (1986), Saazish (1988) and Taaqatwar (1989).
She was recently seen in 24x7 Bombay Salon Unisex and Thodi Life Thoda Magic (2008) which starred Jackie Shroff and Arbaaz Khan.
