The glamorous actress Celina Jaitley basked in the afterglow of success when she won the Miss India crown.
Basics on Celina
Celina Jaitley was born on 9th June 1981 in Kabul, Afghanistan. Her father was in the Indian Army while her mother was a child psychologist and a beauty queen herself. Her brother followed their father’s lead and joined the Indian Army.
Celina completed her graduation from Indira Gandhi National Open University in Commerce. She worked in marketing at a cellphone company in Kolkata. She participated in a local beauty contest on impulse and won it, motivating her to sign up for the Miss India contest. This was a smart move as she won the crown and placed fourth from the top at the Miss Universe contest. She won MTV’s Most Wanted slot around this time.
Next in line were music videos like Bombay Viking’s “Zara Nazron Se Khedo”.
Celina’s Movies
Celina Jailey’s debut was with Feroz Khan’s Janasheen (2003) with Fardeen Khan. Silsilay (2004) was a multi-starrer as most of her movies are. The comedy No Entry (2005) with co-stars like Salman Khan, Bipasha Basu and Anil Kapoor was a hit. She acted in movies like Zinda (2006), Tom Dick and Harry (2006), Apna Sapna Money Money (2006).
She made a brief appearance in the comedy Heyy Babyy (2007). In 2008, Celina Jaitley was in the hit sequel Golmaal Returns and Money Ho Tho Honey Hai.
