Feroz Khan Biography

Feroz Khan Feroz Khan was a very popular Bollywood actor, director and producer.
 
FEROZ  
He was born on September 25, 1939, to Sadiq Ali Khan Tanoli and Fatima in Bangalore, Karnataka and finished his schooling from Bangalore. Sanjay Khan, Sameer Khan and Akbar Khan are his brothers and has a sister named Dilshad Bibi. Actor Fardeen Khan is his son and Feroz has a daughter named Laila Khan Rajpal.

For the promotion of his brother's film Taj Mahal he visited Pakistan and got blacklisted by Pervez Musharraf, the Pakistani president for getting drunk and insulting their country Pakistan and also the Pakistani singer Fakhr-e-Alam. 
 
CAREER 
The actor played the second lead role in a film named Didi (1960) and also in several other films like Main Shadi Karne Chala (1962), Tarzan Goes India (1962), Bahurani (1963), and Suhagan (1964). He was also seen in a low budget film and after two years he was paired with actress Simi Garewal in an English language film named Tarzan Goes to India. The actor came in to the limelight after giving an award winning performance in Oonche Log alongwith legendry actors Raaj Kumar and Ashok Kumar. In Aarzoo he played a lover opposite Sadhana and the film Aadmi Aur Insaan (1969) brought him a Filmfare award for Best Actor in a supporting role. In films like Upaasna (1967), Mela (1971), and Nagin (1976) he was seen alongside brother Sanjay Khan.
 
In 1971 the actor turned into a director and producer with the film named Apradh which starred him and Mumtaaz in the lead role. His second direction Dharmatma was shot in Afghanistan and happened to be the first Indian movie to be shot there. In 1980s he gave box office hits like Qurbani and Janbaaz. These films are considered as the best Bollywood movies.
 
He has also acted in a Punjabi movie named Bhagat Dhanna Jat (1974). He played a character named Rajesh Ashwini Kumar in Yalgaar (1992). After directing and acting in this movie the actor took a break of eleven years. Feroz directed his sons debut film Prem Agun in 1998 which was a big flop. His next film as an actor and director was Janasheen in 2003 which starred his son Fardeen Khan and actress Celina Jaitley. Feroz also starred in Fardeen's Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena (2005) and said goodbye to the film industry with comedy film Welcome (2007) where he played a character named Ranbir Dhanraj Xata.
 
DEATH 
In April 2009 the actor died of Cancer in his farmhouse at Bangalore and is buried next to his mother's grave at Hosur Road  Shia Kabristan in Bangalore.
