Ikram Akhtar, a writer, has several movies to his credit, though none of them have created waves at the box office or otherwise. He started off as an Assistant Director in 1998, with the film Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha. Though the film did reasonably well, he changed the direction of his career and got into writing for movies.
Here is a list of his work as a writer:
• He wrote the story and screenplay of the Sanjay Dutt starrer Baaghi (2000).
• In the same year he wrote the story and screenplay of 2 more films- Chal Mere Bhai and Joru Ka Ghulam.
• In that year again, he not only wrote the story and screenplay of Tera Jadoo Chal Gaya, but also penned the dialogues.
• He worked on the story and screenplay for Nayee Padosan (2003).
• He gave the screenplay for the relatively unknown Rafoo Chakkar: Fun on the run.
His latest film as a writer is Baabarr (2009) which is releasing on 11th September.
