Documentaries Kabir Khan began his journey as a documentary film maker. The Forgotten Army was the first documentary that he directed. While The Forgotten Army was about Subhas Chandra Bose’s Indian National Army, The Taliban Years and Beyond was based on the Taliban in Afghanistan. The Titanic Sinks in Kabul was yet another documentary revolving around Afghanistan.
Movies Kabir Khan wrote and directed Kabul Express (2006). The movie was inspired by the experiences he shared with his friend Rajan Kapoor in 2001 when the Taliban were ousted. The movie starred John Abraham and Arshad Warsi.
He interviewed Marianne Pearl and was the cinematographer for The Journalist and The Jihadi: The Murder of Daniel Pearl (2006).
He is now all set to release New York (2009) with John Abraham, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Katrina Kaif playing the lead roles. The movie deals with discrimination faced by NRIs after the 9/11 terror attacks.
