Mira Nair is a renowned Indian director who has established herself internationally.
Mira Nair Mira Nair was born on 15th October 1957 in Bhubaneshwar, India. Her father Nayyar was from Amritsar, Punjab and was a civil servant while her mother was a social worker.
She studied in a boarding school in Shimla. She joined Miranda House in New Delhi where she majored in Sociology. While in college, Mira participated in street theater and was part of an amateur drama company.
