Monica Bedi is the Bolywood actress who was arrested with underworld don Abu Salem by the Lisbon police for entering Portugal with illegal documents.
EARLY LIFE
Monica Bedi was born on 18th January 1975 in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, India. She is the daughter of Dr.Prem Kumar Bedi who migrated to Norway a few months after she was born. The family manage a garment shop in Norway.
MONICA AND ABU SALEM
Monica Bedi dated the underworld don Abu Salem. In 2002 the couple were arrested by Lisbon Police for passport forgery. She was deported to India but because of lack of evidence the actress was released from Chanchalguda Central Jail on 25th July 2007.
CAREER
She started her film career with Suraksha(Hindi) and Taj Mahal(Telugu) in 1995, it was followed by some more movies like Tirchhi Topiwale (1998), Jaanam Samjha Karo (1999), Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat(2001) and Jodi No.1 in 2001 where she was seen opposite Sanjay Dutt.
Monica regained her popularity after her participation in the reality show Bigg Boss - Season 2 on Sony TV.
