Basics on Namitha Namitha Kapoor was born in Surat, Gujarat, India on 10th May 1981. She is a Punjabi and was christened Namita M Vankwala. She appeared in her first two Telugu movies with the screen name Bhairavi. She completed college at Ratnam Arts College in Surat.
She won the Miss Surat crown in 1998 and participated in the Femina Miss India contest in 2001, taking fourth position in the contest.
