After a successful run in beauty pageants, Namitha Kapoor acted in several Tamil and Telugu movies since 2002.
Basics on Namitha
Namitha Kapoor was born in Surat, Gujarat, India on 10th May 1981. She is a Punjabi and was christened Namita M Vankwala. She appeared in her first two Telugu movies with the screen name Bhairavi. She completed college at Ratnam Arts College in Surat.
She won the Miss Surat crown in 1998 and participated in the Femina Miss India contest in 2001, taking fourth position in the contest.
Namitha Kapoor’s Movies
Namitha Kapoor started acting with two releases in Telugu, Sontham and Gemini in 2002. Engal Anna (2004) was her first Tamil movie. She was seen with Vijaykanth and Prabhu Deva in this movie. Her song sequence Arjuna Arjuna from Aai (2005) became popular.
Her other movies are Kovai Brothers (2006), Billa (2007) and Sandai (2008). In 2009, apart from several Tamil movies like Thee and Kethavan, she will also be seen in a Malayalam movie called Black Stallion and an English movie directed by Eric Manning called Maya.
