Ravi Teja’s real name is Bhupatiraju Ravishankar Raju. He was born on 26th January 1968 in Jaggampeta, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh. His father is Rajgopal Raju, a pharmacist and Rajyalaxmi, a home maker.
He was a naughty child who used to set fire to couches to enact action scenes. He tried to run away from home to become an actor in Bollywood when he eleven years old.
He studied at N.S.M Public School and Siddhartha Degree College.
He is married to Kalyani. They got married in 2002 and had a daughter Mokshadha in 2003 and a son Manit in 2006.

Ravi Teja worked in movies like Aaj Ki Goondaraj, Premaku Velayara and Criminal. He got a chance to work as an assistant director for Ninne Pelladatha. In 1999, he got a chance to work as the main hero in Nee Kosam.
He acted in secondary roles in movies like Annayya and Ammayi Kosam. He became a top hero with hits like Appu, Idiot and Chanti. Vikramarkudu and Krishna were his biggest hits. Despite a few flops like Baladoor and Neninthe he is still a successful actor.
In his next movie Anjaneyulu (2009) he will act with Nayantara.
