Rupali Ganguly is an Indian TV actress and became a household name when she appeared in the successful television show Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, playing the role of Monisha.
BASICS
Rupali Ganguly was born on April 5th to film director Anil Ganguly who has directed the Rajesh Khanna starrer Kora Kagaz. The actress participated in the Femina Miss India Contest and was among the top 20.
After completing her studies she took up a Hotel Management course and later was offered many roles in TV shows.
CAREER
Rupali started her acting career at the age of seven by doing a small role in the film Saheb and then acted in many of her father's productions. After her participation in the Femina Miss India contest she got a movie called Do Aankhen Barah Haath. She was also seen opposite actor Mithun Chakraborty in Angara. The opportunities she received for movies were not good and therefore she moved to television.
She has acted in a lot of TV serials like Sanjivani in which she replaced Shilpa Kadam in the role of Simran. Even in the unforgettable show Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki, the role she played will always be remembered. Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai is one show which made her popular. Her entry into the Big Boss reality show added to it.
The actress whose role model is Shekhar Suman has also acted in serials are Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin, Ek Packet Ummeed, Aap Ki Antara, Sukanya and more.
