Rumi Jaffrey is a writer in Bollywood who has also tried his hand at directing movies.
Jaffrey is the man who penned the scripts of movies like Paayal (1992); Anjaam (1994), a story of vengeance; the comedy Coolie No.1 (1995); the Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda starrer Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (1998); the hit Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya? and God Tussi Great Ho (2008) which was a remake of the Hollywood movie Bruce Almighty.
He directed God Tussi Great Ho (2008) with Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra. But the movie was an average grosser. The movie he is currently directing is Life Partner (2009) and stars Govinda, Tusshar Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Prachi Desai and Genelia D’Souza.
