Sanjay Leela Bhansali was born on 24th February 1963. His middle name is his mother’s and he uses it in recognition of all that she means to him. He graduated from the Film and Television Institute of India.

He assisted Vidhu Vinod Chopra on the sets of movies like Kareeb, Parinda and 1942: A Love Story. He chose to go his own way and made his directorial debut with Khamoshi: The Musical (1996).

Hi! sanjay i m ur huge fan. i really loved ur saawariya. in fact i have seen saawariya so many times that, all the dialogues are on my lips. ur every movie is a gem. definately guzaarish will be of the same type. plz sign ismail darbar for music in ur movies. the more we talk is less about u.

Hi sanjay It's nice to see ur films everytime.But this I want to suggest you something that please make a movie for children which includes fairy tale stories coz I strongly believe that you can do justice to it fully.I still remember when I was little by reading fairy tale books I used to imagine about the story and always wanted to see the movie oon them..hope you will give some thought to it.Children will love it ,m dead sure.
