Good-looking, with a hint of reserve, Sanjay Suri has steadily built up a reputation as an actor, handling all the roles that come his way with ease.
Basics on Sanjay Suri Sanjay Suri celebrates his birthday on 6th April 1971. He was born in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, India. His father died in a terrorist attack, after which their family moved to Delhi. He has a brother Raj and a sister, Vandana.
While in school, Sanjay Suri played squash and was on the state team. He completed his graduation in Jammu. Back in Delhi, he worked in an export house after which he started his own business.
He got several offers for modeling and appeared in commercials for Times of India, Philishave and Gilette. After a stint in television, he started working in movies.
Sanjay Suri married his girlfriend Ambika, who is a psychologist, in 2001 and they have a son.
Sanjay Suri’s Movies 1999 to 2003 Sanjay Suri made his debut with a love story Pyar Mein Kabhi Kabhi as Bugs. The movie was also the debut for model Dino Morea and Dimple Kapadia’s daughter Rinke Khanna too. The movie was not successful.
He bagged roles in Tera Jadoo Chal Gaya (2000), Filhaal (2002) and Chalo Ishq Ladaye (2003).
In 2003, his performances in Jhankaar Beats and Pinjar were applauded. My Brother Nikhil (2005) saw him as gay and inflicted with AIDS and his struggle with the disease and the society as he’s treated as an outcast. The movie also starred Juhi Chawla as his sister and Purab Kohli as his lover.
He worked with Onir in Bas Ek Pal (2006). He was seen as Hari Sadu in a cricket based movie Say Salaam India (2007).
His next movie is Piyush Jha’s Sikander in 2009 revolving around a young boy caught in the violent situation in Kashmir.
