Shamita Shetty was born on 2nd February 1979 to Surendra and Sunanda Shetty in Mangalore, India. She is actress Shilpa Shetty’s sister. Her parents are into manufacturing. They make tamper proof caps for a pharmaceutical company.
She completed her studies from St.Anthony’s Girl’s High School and Sydenham College. Additionally, she has studied fashion design from SNDT.
She was going out with actor Aftab Shivdasani.
Shamita Shetty’s Movies
Shamita Shetty was part of a large star cast in her debut Mohabbatein in 2000, which did a good job commercially. She shook a leg to Chori Pe Chori in Saathiya (2000) and Sharara Sharara in Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai (2002).
In 2005, both sisters teamed up in Fareb. She played a cop in Zeher with Emraan Hashmi and saw success. Cash (2007) didn’t do good business. She looked South and landed a role in Naan Aval Adhu with heartthrob Madhavan.
It remains to be seen if she will reach the heights of success that Shilpa Shetty is currently enjoying.
