Sonali Bendre was born on 1st January 1975 in Mumbai, India. She did her schooling at the Kendriya Vidyalaya in Bangalore and Holy Cross High School in Mumbai.

She is married to the film-maker Goldie Behl. They’ve been married since 2002 and had a son Ranvir in 2005.

Sonali Bendre worked as a model. She won the Star Dust Talent Search and made a transition into movies.
