Journey from a Five Star Hotel to Bollywood:
Tarun was working in a five star hotel in Banaglore as a Hospitality Manager, when the modeling bug bit him and he won the Gladrags Manhunt in 1998. This six foot tall and lean guy was seen in the ad campaigns of leading brands like Raymonds, Kwality Walls, Westside, Mc Dowell’s whiskey, LG air-conditioners and more, apart from walking the ramp for top fashion houses.
His first Bollywood film was Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi (1999), though he merely made a special appearance in it.
He got his first full fledged role in Hawas (2004), which flopped miserably. He followed that up with movies like Sheen (2004), 19 Revolutions (2004), Men Not Allowed (2006) and Ghutan (2007). None of them took his career any higher.
His last film was Jab We Met (2007), where he played Kareena’s lover who ditches her and comes back to her, only to get ditched in return. The film was a runaway hit, though Tarun didn’t have a meaty role.
There is no news of what he is doing now.
