Vrajesh Hirjee is a comic actor in Bollywood.
EARLY LIFE
In 1972, Vrajesh Hirjee was born to a Gujrati family as Rajesh Kumar Hirjee. His sister is a television actress who appeared in Balaji Telefilm's Hum Paanch, playing the role of the youngest sister, Choti. He was a part of a Gujarati Theater group and acted in around 40 Gujarati plays including a very famous play, Silence Please.
CAREER
In 2000 he acted in the movie, Dahshat, and then in Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, he played Hrithik Roshan's friend Tony. Vrajesh was nominated for the Best Performance in a Comic Role Award for this movie. He was nominated for the category of Best Comedian for his performance in Kareena Kapoor and Tusshar Kapoor's Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai (2001).
In his film career, spanning over nine years, he has acted in more than 30 movies which includes many superhits like Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein (2001) and Tum Bin (2001). In Aamir Khan's Fanaa (2006) he played a funny character Balwant. The other movies are Golmaal: Fun Unlimited (2006), Salaam-E-Ishq (2007) and the sequel Golmaal Returns (2008).
Golmaal Returns was a comedy flick with a big star cast which included Ajay Devgan, Kareena Kapoor and Arshad Warsi. Vrajesh was seen as a thin funny character named Anthony Gonsalves in this movie.
He has more than ten releases in 2009 - Coffee House (2009), Bad Luck Govind (2009), Team - The Force (2009), Daddy Cool (2009) and Dil Bole Hadippa (2009).
Shahid Kapoor and Rani Mukherji's Dil Bole Hadippa was a cricket based romantic comedy movie where Hirjee was seen as Chamkila.
Vrajesh's next release is the comedy Love Ka Tadka (2009) and other expected releases are Tum Milo To Sahi (2009), Shaadi Ke Liye Loan (2009), Mr.Khujli (2009), Horn Ok Pleassss (2009), Do Aur Do Paanch (2009), and Khalbali (2009). While most of these are comedy movies, Ajay Chandhok's Khalbali (2009) is the story of a hotelier who hires a gangster to plant a bomb in a rival’s hotel. Vrajesh plays a financer's son in this movie.
