Sandalwood’s bid to celebrate Rebel Star Ambarish’s 60th birthday in style was a grand success with South superstars Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi amongst others attending the event.
Ambi Sambhrama, an event held at Palace Grounds on May 29 (Tuesday) evening started off at 6.30 p.m sharp with Congress leader SushilKumar Shinde, actor Jackie Shroff and MP Jayaprada inaugurating the event. The inauguration was followed by a number of dance performances and skits which marked Ambarish’s 40 years in the Kannada cinema.
Top stars from Sandalwood including Puneeth Rajkumar, Shivrajkumar, Ravichandran, Upendra, Darshan, Sudeep, Srinagara Kitty, Diganth, Prem and Ganesh danced to the tunes of Ambarish’s famous songs. Veteran artistes like Doddanna, Sundarraj, Rangayana Raghu, Jaggesh, Umashri, Sadhu Kokila, Ramesh Bhatt, and Padma Vasanthi participated in skits depicting Ambarish’s journey and transformation from a supporting artiste to Rebel Star and his current star status.
Ambarish’s friends from other film industries like Shatrugan Sinha, Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, Mohan Babu, Balakrishna, Arjun Sarja, Jackie Shroff, Sunil Shetty, Khushboo and Ambika graced the occasion and wished the actor.
