Director Boyapati Srinu wants to extend his incredible run of successful films as a director. After debuting as a director with the Ravi Teja-Meera Jasmine starrer Bhadra in 2005, he made another highly successful film Tulasi in 2007 which had Venkatesh and Nayanthara in lead roles. Srinu marked his hat-trick of success with the 2010 super hit Simha which starred Balakrishna, Sneha Ullal and Nayanthara in lead roles.
Srinu is highly confident of extending his winning streak with the upcoming Dammu which stars Jr. NTR, Karthika Nair and Trisha. NTR was apparently impressed with Simha and immediately wanted to do a film under Srinu’s direction and signed him up as director of Dammu. The script of the film took final shape after Srinu narrated as many as 11 scripts to NTR who chose the final one.
NTR’s fans are earnestly hoping that Dammu becomes a huge hit especially in view of the fact that NTR’s competitor Ram Charan Teja has just delivered a super-duper hit in Racha. NTR’s Dammu is likely to release in record number of halls all over the State on April 27. Insiders say that NTR plays a commoner who is sworn to non-violence but takes to arms when forced by the circumstances.
