Things just seem to be getting better for Samantha. The actress, who is now busy with Gautham Menon's Neethane En Ponvasantham opposite Jiiva and Mani Ratnam’s Kadal, is said to have been roped in for Shankar's next project.
Sources said that the ace director is set to start work for his Therdhal with Vikram in the lead. The film may have a second heroine, apparently from Bollywood, apart from Samantha.
Aascar Ravichandran will produce the film while PC Sriram will crank the camera and Oscar-winner AR Rahman will score the music.
Samantha, who had no release after her debut movie Baana Kathadi in Tamil, has now become one of the most sought after actresses in Tamil and Telugu thanks to her series of successes since Goutham Menon’s Ye Maaya Chesave (Telugu version of Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya).
It must be said, that being roped in to play the lead roles in Mani Ratnam and Shankar's movies is an achievement by itself for the pretty actress
