Though she is just three films old, she has already managed to create a fan base of her own. Tollywood’s Bengali babe Richa Gangopadhyaya has become a household name all over the state and she is quite happy about it.
Richa made her debut in Kollywood last year opposite two of the top heroes there. Her first film was Mayakkam Enna opposite Dhanush and the second one was Osthe opposite Simbu. Unfortunately, both the films were just average grosser at the box office and Richa has now returned to Tollywood to star in Varadhi opposite Prabhas. Anushka is the other heroine in the film.
The film is being directed by Koratala Siva, a talented debutant director. Talking about the film and the experience of working with Prabhas, Richa says, “Prabhas is certainly one of the few heroes taller than me and as such the height problem got solved on day one itself. I have heard positive comments about our pairing; Prabhas is easy to work with as he’s a simple guy with no starry tantrums.”
“As far as my role in the film is concerned, I play an NRI who returns to her village in India. My role is that of a girl who is sharp who doesn’t hesitate to speak out her mind but who is also vulnerable at times. It’s almost like the real me,” she said.
