Ace editor and probably the best in his profession in the country – Sreekar Prasad, entered the Limca Book of Records recently. The honor is being given to him for editing films in 15 Indian languages, apart from a few foreign films.
Above all, the team of Limca Book of Records noted that Sreekar Prasad has won seven national awards and a special jury award for film editing, definitely the most won by any editor in recent times.
In Telugu, Sreekar Prasad has edited films like Okkadu, Nirnayam, Sakhi, Jalsa, and Panjaa. He won National awards for Raakh, The Terrorist, Vanaprastham, Firaaq, and Mani Ratnam’s Amrutha (Kannathil Mutthamittal in Tamil). His guru has been his father, Akkineni Sanjivi, who is brother of legendary filmmaker L V Prasad.
