Vinay Rai rose to fame with his charming performance in Unnale Unnale (2007) and joined the list of chocolate boys in Kollywood. But success was short lived for this hunk as his consecutive films failed to show any promise at the box-office. He even tried to work his charm in tolly, but in vain.
After some average grossers, flops and an apparent experimentation with DAM 999, Vinay is back in Tamil to revamp his fan base here. The actor will be seen in a remake of the Telugu hit Dhee, which is being filmed under the titled Mirattal. Sharmila Mandre from Sandalwood will play Vinay’s love interest.
The film directed by producer-director Madhesh of Madurey fame is touted to be an action-entertainer and some of the scenes for the movie were shot recently in UK.
Sources say that the crew has worked hard on the action scenes and believe that they would be breathtaking, when seen on the silver screen.
Vinay, who recently suffered injuries from a fall has returned back to work and the film is progressing at a good pace now.
The Unnale Unnale star is hoping that lady luck smiles on him this time and he can once again join the list of sought-after actors in the film industry.
