Maattrraan music review:
" Rettai Kathirae…”, despite the appallingly templatized tune, offers comfort in familiarity; that it is a pleasant duet sung well by Krish and MK Balaji helps. “Naani Koni…” is no different – the enthusiastic vocals make up for the laziness in Harris’ tune-making; interestingly Vijay Prakash sings ‘Naani’, while Shreya sings ‘NaaNi’, as it should be pronounced! “Theeyae…” and “Yaaro…” push the tune recycle too far and barely register. But the composer bounces back in style with the eclectic “Kaal mulaitha poovae…” – a fantastic Russian folk mix with delightfully inventive orchestration and tune shifts. Maatran scrapes through Harris’ time warp!
