Leelai, a film which was confined to the backburner for a couple of years now, will finally see the light of the day today.
Sources say, though the film stars fresh faces Shiv Pandit and Manasi Parekh in the leads, it will still enjoy a big release.
As the film's producer Ramesh Babu is Aascar Ravichandran's brother and since the latter is distributing Billa 2 a much-awaited film, theatres have apparently shown their support for his brother, by giving Leelai a big release.
Another likely reason is Santhanam’s presence, a comedian who is riding high in Kollywood these days. The makers and distributors are hoping that Santhanam's comedy will be of major help at the Box-Office, as the hero, Shiv Pandit is not a familiar face down South
Andrew Louis, SJ Suriyah’s former assistant is the director of the film, which has music by Satish Chakravarthy.
