It was rumoured some time back and now it’s confirmed; Ram Gopal Varma is teaming up with Puri Jagannadh to remake Mahesh Babu’s Businessman in Hindi. The film will star Abhishek Bacchan in the lead role which is touted as the Napolean of Indian Mafia. Announcing the news on Twitter, Varma said, “Finally, it is confirmed that I and Puri would be re-making the Telugu blockbuster Businessman in Hindi with Abishek Bachchan in the lead.”
The film may not be launched this year as both RGV and Puri have tight schedules chalked up till the year-end. “Guru” Ramu and “shikshya” Puri are looking at some time early next year to launch the Hindi version.
Jr. Bachchan is said to have given his consent to star in RGV’s film. RGV's nascent idea was translated into a feature film by Puri. The film worked wonders at the box-office for Mahesh Babu who had been having quite a rough ride of late. It will be interesting to see if the Hindi version would meet with the same success.
