Chirpy actress Genelia D’Souza has managed to enter the Limca Book of Records. The actress married her long time beau Ritesh Deshmukh last month. Ritesh is one of the frontline heroes in Bollywood and also the son of Vilasrao Deshmukh, Congress leader and erstwhile CM of Maharashtra.
Genelia finds her name enlisted in the prestigious Limca Book of World Records for delivering four hits in four different languages in a single year. For the past few years, the actress had been busy in all the South Indian languages viz., Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada besides her Bollywood film assignments.
The actress who delivered four super-hit films in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi has reportedly been selected for entry in the prestigious book. The list of hit films in 2008 includes Satya In Love (Kannada), Santosh Subramaniam (Tamil), Ready (Telugu) and Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na (Hindi) accounting for four super-hit films.
Genelia played the female lead in all these films. It’s this feat which has won her a place in the Limca Book of Records. As if to prove the adage that good things come in packages, Genelia Deshmukh’s latest Hindi film Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, where she is paired opposite her real-life husband Riteish, is enjoying a good run across the country.
