Sreeni to join Mammootty's camp

Channel:

Actor-director Sreenivasan, openly scoffed at the reigning superstars of Mollywood in his last release, Padmashree Bharat Dr. Sarojkumar. While the Mammootty camp ignored much of the reports, Mohanlal’s camp reacted fiercely against Sreeni, whose criticisms were dubbed by many including Antony Perumbavoor and Major Ravi as deliberate and ill worded.

The movie met out with a lot of problems post-release, a dismal performance at the Box Office and the producer revolting against the crew including the director. The director, Sajin Raaghavan, who was a debutant played the blame game too and poor Sreeni was forced to face the allegations all alone.

But the latest reports suggest that the actor is all set to join the Mammootty camp within a short while. Sreeni, who is not having any projects with Mohanlal in the near future, will be sharing the screen space with Mammootty in the new movie to be directed by Anoop Kannan, an associate to Lal Jose. This yet to be titled project will feature Mammootty as a security officer while Sreenivasan will don the role of an engineer. The movie will tell a humorous tale about the struggles of both these characters to emerge the better of the other.

In their thirty years in the industry, Sreenivasan has earlier been with Mammootty in a number of films including Golaantharavaartha, Oru Maravathoor Kanavu, Megham, Bhargava charitham Moonnam Khandam, Azhagiya Ravanan, Mazhayethum Munpe and Katha Parayumpol, which all had interesting sequences between the two. Anoop Kannan's movie will also help the two to patch up ideally from the little confusions that may have aroused after Sarojkumar.
