Thanks to last year’s super-duper hit film Kanchana, director Raghava’s stakes in Tollywood as a film-maker have sky-rocketed. Raghava’s next directorial venture would be the Prabhas-starrer Rebel. The film, whose shooting schedule has been progressing on the right track, is said to be over-shooting its originally estimated budget.
The film had been mired in one controversy or the other right from the day when it was launched. Leggy Anushka Shetty, who was first cast as the heroine opposite Prabhas, opted out of the film apparently due to some “misunderstanding” between her and the director. Picture-perfect Tamannaah was then signed up to play Prabhas’ heroine.
Inside sources say that though the film has shaped up well so far, the film’s ever-increasing budget has put the producers in a spot of bother. The latest info is that burly music director Thaman, who has scored peppy numbers in the latest hit film Love Failure, has walked out of the film after wishing ‘success’ to the Rebel crew.
Unconfirmed reports say that Lawrence, who is also a successful actor, is throwing ‘starry tantrums’ on the sets which keep the producer’s budget on the up. It is said that Lawrence takes his own time by canceling the shoots at the last moment either by saying that he is unwell or not in a “mood” to shoot for the day.
