Even as Billa 2 is gearing up for release in June, the much-awaited Ajith-starrer with Vishnuvardhan has gone on the floors on Thursday.
According to a press note from the makers, the shooting of the yet-to-be-titled film which stars Ajith and Arya commenced in Chennai on Thursday at the Vishwaroopa Sri Shridi Sai Baba Mandir in Virugambakkam.
It is said that it was a lucky coincidence that the film has begun on a Thursday, the auspicious day for Baba.
The key technicians including director Vishnuvaradhan, cinematographer P S Vinod, writers Suba, editor Naani, costume designer Anuvardhan along with producer A M Rathnam were present.
Arya, who plays baddie in the film, was also present at the muharat.
The first schedule of the film is set to begin in Mumbai on June 2 and is expected to last till the month-end.
Hotties Nayanthara and Tapasee play the female leads in the film. The movie is produced by A Raghuram of Satya Sai Movies.
