The entrepreneur and stock analyst who entered Sandalwood as a distributor and went on to become a producer, has now taken over Ashwini Media Network, one of the leading audio companies of Kannada film industry from Krishna Prasad, who is fondly known as Pacchi in film circles.

Ashwini Media Network was launched in April last year after Krishna Prasad came out of Ashwini Recording Company, which was jointly owned by brothers Krishna Prasad and Ram Prasad. The brothers separated after a spat and Pacchi started Ashwini Media Networks which went on to acquire the audio rights of some of the big budget films like Paramatma, Jogaiah, Vishnuvardhana, Kool, and Chingaari.

However due to financial problems Krishna Prasad has now sold it to Prasad and an agreement has been reached between the two. The takeover will include the studios, building and the 27 titles that Ashwini has procured for the last one year.

Prasad wants to expand the business and is planning to include a DTS and a DI studio with all the latest technologies. Prasad is also planning to procure the audio rights of some of the big budget films in the future.
