Multi-starrer films appear to be becoming the order of the day in Tollywood and elsewhere in the Indian film industry. These films guarantee a “minimum return” at the box-office for the producers and directors as fans of all the heroes and heroines who are part of the film would flock to the theatres to watch their favourite stars in action. In a way, this saves these films from ending up as disasters.
Anil Sunkara, who had co-produced last year’s super-duper hit film Dookudu starring Mahesh Babu and Samantha in lead roles, is all set to make his debut as director in Tollywood to give vent to his film-making instincts. Producer of Aha Naa Pellanta and Bindaas, Anil’s debut directorial venture is likely to be a big-budget film starring some big names.
Allari Naresh, Kick Shaam, Vaibhav, Raju Sundaram, Kamna Jethmalani, Vimala Raman and Sneha Ullal are the leading stars who would be starring in Anil’s debut film as director in Telugu. The film is likely to be made in 3D as Anil has brought to Hyderabad a team of technicians from U.S. to assist him during the making of the film.
The film, titled tentatively as Ace, Raja, Rani & Joker, is also likely to be shot in Tamil simultaneously.
