Srinu Vytla’s Mahesh Babu starrer- Dookudu walked away with all the major Filmfare Awards in Telugu this year, followed closely by Sri Ramarajyam with five awards.
Dookudu got awards in the categories Best Films, Best Director (Srinu Vytla), Best Actor (Mahesh Babu), Best Supporting Actor (MS Narayana), Best Music (Thaman) and Best Playback Singer - Male (Rahul Nambiar). This is a major draw for the film which had also swept similar awards at CineMAA awards and SIIMA recently. Sri Ramarajyam got awards in different categories including Best Actress (Nayanthara) and Best Playback Singer - Female (Shreya Ghoshal).
Apart from these, Shruthi Haasan bagged the award for Best Debutant for her performance in Anaganaga Oka Dheerudu.
