A film about cinema

Channel:

It is not often that films are made on cinema, more so in Kollywood. Even if they are made, they end up as spoofs. Pudhumugangal Thevai, is a film that promises to be different. The film speaks about a youngster's dream to become a filmmaker and the challenges that he faces in this mission.

It has Sivaji Dev of Singa Kutty fame (grandson of thespian Sivaji Ganesan) playing the lead. Directed by Maneesh Babu, the movie marks the foray of cinematographer Rajesh Yadav as an actor. Banu and Vishnupriya don key roles. The movie has music by Twins Tunes.

When asked about the film, the director said, “It has everything to entertain the masses. There is comedy and romance. It is about two youngsters with big dreams of leaving their mark in Tamil cinema coming together.”

Sivaji Dev plays an aspiring filmmaker while Rajesh Yadav dons the role of a hotel supervisor, who desires to become a film producer.
