Director Krishna earned a lot of praise for his Sillunnu Oru Kaadhal featuring Suriya in the lead. Now, he is ready with his next titled Nedunchalai with Aari and Shivada playing the lead roles.
Talking about the film, hero Aari said, “When compared to my earlier films Rettaisuzhi and Maalai Pozhudin Mayakkathile, I have done a totally different one in Nedunchalai”.
Further, he said, “While the one in Nedunchalai is a rugged sort of role, it is also a highly emotional one. I thoroughly enjoy doing it. The first schedule is just over and I am yet to come out of the character.”
Also, Aari said the director (Krishna) wanted a lot of spontaneity in the acting and hence, he would explain the scene only on the day of the shoot, which he thinks brought out the best in the actor.
The film is said to be about an incident that happened on a highway in 1985 and the director is said to have researched for nearly two years before launching the film.
On his part, Krishna said that the title is apt as the story happens on a national highway and talks about the lives of people who live on roadsides. The highlight is the live music recording by Sathya for all songs.
