After impressing movie-goers and youths all over Andhra Pradesh, Jr. NTR is seeking to expand his fan base across other states too. As a first step, he has ensured that his upcoming film Dammu is released in as many as 150 theatres in the neighbouring Karnataka. This is a record number for a Telugu film to be releasing in the land of Kannada.
It seems that NTR is making a conscious decision by taking a calculated risk in releasing the film in this many number of halls in Karnataka. The timing of the release of the film, which is slated for this Friday (April 27), is also significant as no other local (Kannada language) films are slated to release in a week's time.
The film, which has NTR romancing an elderly (looking) Trisha and a much younger Karthika Nair, is awaited with bated breaths by his many fans. Thanks to the stardom achieved by NTR in the last few years each releae of him is greeted with unprecedented enthusiasm and eagerness by his army of fans.
Directed by Boyapati Sreenu and having peppy and youthful music by veteran music director Keeravani, Dammu is tippped by trade pundits as a super-duper hit film. Whether or not the prediction of the pundits turns out to be true is something that remains to be seen.
