It’s not an easy task in the film industry to change one’s field of interest and shine. Sundeep Kishan did just that when he made his acting debut through Sneha Geetham in 2008 after working for more than a year as an assistant director under ace director Gautham Menon and assisting him during the making of the megahit Suriya-starrer Vaaranam Aayiram (2008).
His debut film didn’t do well but Kishan made a strong comeback with Prasthanam thanks to director Deva Katta’s belief in him. Though the film was a commercial success, offers didn’t start pouring; Kishan had to wait for more than a year for his next film which a Hindi film was titled Shor In The City. Yet again, he could only win critical acclaim for his role in the film which nose-dived at the box-office.
He hasn’t been able to consolidate his position because he wasn’t getting the right films. Reports say that he now plays a significant role in the upcoming film Gundello Godari. Insiders say that his role is almost as significant as the lead role played by Aadi Pinisetty.
With a film each in Tamil and Telugu in his kitty, let’s see what inroads this graduate from Chennai’s Loyola College manages to make in both the industries!
