The cast and crew of G N R Kumaravelan's Haridas, who were shooting near Dhanuskodi, were involved in a boat mishap late on Monday.
Sources said that the team, which was on its way after wrapping one segment on a small boat was hit by a wave. Even as they were tying to remove the water from the boat, an even bigger wave splashed into the boat, toppling the occupants.
It was a rather lucky escape for the cast and crew including hero Kishore, director Kumaravelan and young lad Prithivraj Das, who is playing a key role in the movie that talks about the relationship between a father and his son.
Kumaravelan said that it was a fortunate escape for the crew and they thanked the Almighty for it. He also said the movie's heroine Sneha had been sent in a different boat or she too would have been trapped in the waters and endured a struggle.
He was thankful to the fisherfolk who rushed to help on hearing their cries.
