Actor Vijay’s work in his Pongal release Nanban directed by Shankar, which also stars Sathyaraj, Jiiva, Srikanth and Ileana was critically acclaimed. The film recently completed a 100-day run in theatres.
Sources have it that the Nanban team is delighted and will be celebrating the milestone at a function. Meanwhile, the brand new movie will be premiered on a television channel on May 1, as part of Labours’ Day special programmes.
It is said that ad rates fixed for Nanban telecast are much higher when compared to the current market trend, thanks to the tags attached to the film.
The film opened big on Pongal festival day and has enjoyed a pretty good run and the performance of the cast was also appreciated.
Meanwhile, Vijay is now acting in Thuppaki being helmed by A R Murugadoss and it is touted to be a stylish police story and subsequently he will be teaming up with Gautam Vasudev Menon for a high-profile venture, titled Yohan Adhyayam Ondru.
