Deviating from the oft-tread path of romance between middle-class and high-class lovers, the upcoming film Nanda Nanditha will be about a simple love story brewing in the slums of Visakhapatnam. Directed by Ram Shiva, Nanda Nanditha is the remake of a Kannada film.
The story has as its backdrop the milling slums of Vizag. Suriya Prathap plays the lead role opposite the talented Meghna Raj. Suriya and Meghna are the lovers in question in the film. Says Suriya: “Though the film might sound like 7/G Brindavan Colony and Premisthe, I can assure that the film would be very different and has some riveting action sequences which have been filmed in an eye-catching manner.”
The film is being released on March 9 in as many as 70 halls across the State. With music by Amil Ahmad, the film is releasing a day after the theatrical release of Mr. Nookaiah and Renigunta apparently to avoid competing with them.
The film produced by Chinta Ramachandra Reddy has dialogues by Vennelakanti and lyrics by Bhuvanachandra. Veteran actors Nassar and Shubhalekha Sudhakar are also playing prominent roles in the film.
