To remake popular and successful movies of Superstar Rajinikanth, has become more of a fashion these days. The list of movies that were remade is quite long and those that immediately spring to mind are Murattu Kaalai, Billa and Padikkathavan.
Now, the buzz is that Thillu Mullu is to be remade with Shiva of Chennai-28 fame reprising the Superstar's role. Meanwhile, rumours have it that two more popular actors have been zeroed in to join the cast.
It is said while Prakash Raj will be essaying the role made so popular by Thengai Srinivasan, Kovai Sarala is expected to slip into Sowcar Janaki's role.
Badri, who directed Sundar C starrer Veerappu (2007) and penned the dialogues for the recent Kalakalappu is set to direct the film. It will be produced by Vendhar Movies, which distributed films such as Aravaan and Saguni.
