The talkie portions for Vishal-starrer Samar has been completed and plans are on to shoot a couple of songs in Malaysia, acccording to director Thiru.
Thiru and Vishal come together after their earlier film Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai, which was an average grosser.
Thiru said unlike their earlier venture, Samar is an action thriller shot mostly in Bangkok.
Vishal plays a trekking guide in the film. He heads to Bangkok where a series of strange incidents unfold. How he solves all the mysteries, is what the film is about, says the young film-maker.
Trisha plays a Tamil girl working abroad. “Trisha’s role is crucial to the film and she has done an exceptionally good job of it,” Thiru said.
Besides Vishal and Trisha, the movie features Kadhalil Vizhundaen girl Sunaina, popular Telugu actor J D Chakravarthy and Bollywood star Manoj Bajpai.
About Chakravarthy and Manoj Bajpai, Thiru said they were amazing stars to work with. Both are abundantly talented and they have given life and soul to the film.
The album comprises of five tracks, composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The makers are planning to release the film in September.
