Fifteen months have passed since the release of Rajesh Pillai’s path breaking film Traffic. The director was busy with a plenty of projects in the meantime, mostly centred on the remake of the original thriller. Tired with the unending delays, Rajesh has just walked out of the Tamil version of the film, handing it over to one of his associates. The latest update is that the talented techie will now concentrate on an entirely different genre with a women centric film titled Gold.
This sports-based film will feature four female leads Shweta Menon, Karthika (Ko fame), Parvathi Menon and a fresh face. The movie will centre around four female athletes representing the country in the national events, narrating their story from the humble beginnings to international glory.
Expected to be shot at many international sporting locations, Gold will have a stellar cast which includes Prithviraj, Anoop Menon, Kunchacko Boban and Fahad Fazil in the male leads. Scripted by Urumi fame Shankar Ramakrishnan, Gold is expected to be on the sets shortly.
