Sridevi strode Kollywood, Tollywood and Bollywood like a colossus before settling for domestic bliss. Now, after 15 long years, she is making a much-awaited comeback, with a film titled English Vinglish.
The movie is going places even before its release and will be premiered at Toronto International Film Festival this year, to be held in from September 6 to 16.
The film, which will be released in Hindi and Tamil simultaneously, also marks the directorial debut of Gauri Shinde, wife of film-maker R Balki who is also the producer. The movie is scheduled for release on September 14.
Apart from Sridevi, the movie stars Adil Hussain, Mehdi Nebbou and Priya Anand of Nootrenbadhu fame.
Besides all these things, the biggest highlight of the movie is a cameo by Ajith. Balki has thanked Ajith for coming forward to do a special appearance, which was done by Amitabh in the Hindi version.
