Youth films score this monsoon

It is the time for youth in Mollywood, this monsoon. The two movies that were released with good previews-Thattathin Marayathu and Usthad Hotel have easily managed to meet their expectations and have turned big hits.

Anwar Rasheed's Dulquar Salman starrer, Usthad Hotel, which was the first to be in theatres from June 29, has already completed its 25 days and is still going strong in 47 centres.

The movie is said to have amassed an initial of eight cores in its 23 days run. Meanwhile Vineeth Sreenivasan's Thattathin Marayathu has surpassed this collection in its 14 days run.

The movie is reported to have taken a gross of eight and a half crores in two weeks, which seems to be the best opening for any film in the recent years. Both these films have easily managed a producer share of four crores, which will get them to the level of mega hits. With still more healthy days to come, Usthad Hotel and Thattathin Marayathu are expected to kick start the age of new stars in Mollywood, who also call for very good initial collections.
