last four films of akshaye kumar are outright hits.

these are bhagam baag,namestay london,heyy baby and bhool bhulaiya.

  after 1947 only four actors could deliver four back to back hits.

  one thing is common in these actors.they all are kumar.

       Dilip kumar,Rajendra kumar ,Manoj kumar and now another kumar,akshaye kumar.

but,Dilip kumar & Rajendra kumar are those actors who delivered six back to back hits.

Dilip kumar,s six hits were ,1-MADHUMATI,2-Yahudi,3-Paigaam,4-MugaleAzam,5-Kohinoor,6-Gunga Jumna,{1958---1961}.

Rajendra kumar's six hits were 1-Mere Mehboob,2-Sangam,3-Aye Milan Ki Bela,4-Zindagi,5-Arzoo,6-Suraj,{late..1963-----1966}.

 Amitabh Bachan gave three consective hits many times,but he could not delivered the fourth.

     Would Akshaye kumar  break the record of dilp,&rajendra.

   om shanti om is his fourth big consective  hit.

       kabhi alvida na kehna don in 2006.

chak de india and om shanti om in 2007.

now akshaye & shah rukh are in chase of rajendra & dilip 's record.

welcom is another hit for Akshay kumar.

now.he has 5 consecutive hits.

he needs one more hit to equall the record of RAJendra kumar & Dilip Kumar.

Rajendra kumar had more than 15 Silver Jubilee Hits in a row, only Hero in India, perhaps in the world. It was from 1957 to almost 1962-63. Thats why he was called as a Jubilee Kumar.

   Dilip Kumar's Paigaam was Average Hit & Yahudi was lebelled as a Flop by Media & Trade Pundits.

  Manoj Kumar's Beimaan was not super-Hit. Though Roti kapda aur makaan was  Super Hit & Sanyasi too was big Hit. Dus Numbri was just Silver Jubilee or 15 to 20 weeks, in many parts, not a Big Hit.

  For that matter Amol Palekar was the only Hero to give first 3 Movies of the career all Silver Jubilee hits in a row.

  Now I understand why you wrote Rajendra Kumar had only 6 consecutive Hits. If you will ask any discerning Cine-goer of 50s,60s he will able to tell you that Rajendra K had record of giving Jubilee after jubilee, unfortunately I dont remember exact figure.

   My dear friend, dont go by the info available on Internet sites. Its not correct & foolproof. It is supplied by people like you & me. I have gone thru all the websites like Boxofficeindia.com, Ibosnetwork.com. IBosnet is even disaster. It has included some of the biggest flops in top 3 or top 5 grossers of the year. Because they dont verify it.

  I have Clippings from Filmfare, Star & Style, Madhuri, Trade guide, some newspapers & some other periodicals, some of which I have uploaded in my Blog under Paragthegreat.

  Paigaam was certainly a moderate success, but not superhit. Whereas Yahudi was really a flop film, not just because media called it flop. 

   I dont know to which generation you belong & thats why you are saying all Silver Jubilees are not Hits etc. My friend, these measurements keep on changing with each decade. In today's times, film earns its entire profit in first few weeks. Whereas in 50s, 60s, & 70s Film's success was measured in Jubilees(Read recent interview of B R Chopra saab). But in 70s, Silve Jubilee was not a Big thing. Thats why I didnt use word "SuperHit" for Amol Palekar's movies. But still Amol Palekar is unanimously  acknowledged(by critics, media & trade Pundits) as the only Hero who gave 3 consecutive Silver Jubilee(Hits) films on his debut. But since his films were SJ only in certain Centres, I never considered him as top Star. These films were not among top 5 or even top 10 grossers.

  So comparing Akshay with these Heroes of yesteryears is not correct. Because cicumstances keep on changing with times. Manoj kumar's Beimaan was not a superduper Hit. It was Hit only in certain centres. Whereas Amitabh had 3 superduper Hits & one big Hit in 1978 which is not comparable with Akshay kumar's recent performance. Those films' success was milestones ahead of Akki's films. Those 4 films were MkS, Don, Trishul, Kasme Waade. And even remaining 2 Ganga ki Saugandh(this film is included among top 10 grossers by IbosNet, which was big flop in Centres like Mumbai, Calcutta etc)& Besharam though termed as Flop were bigger grossers than Akki's recent Hits, if compared with inflation etc.

  Sites like Boxofficeindia etc have correct info about new & latest films & even those released in 90s, but correct info is not available about films from 70s,60s, & 50s. Only Hindi film enthusiasts like me have preserved info about that era from Film periodicals etc. Most of them dont know "N"of Net, forget about accessing Net. So you wont get correct info about older movies.

   Whenever I get time I try to correct the info available on these sites. Sometimes they correct.  I just checked Boxoffice India site. They have given only 30 films from 50s decade. Fortunately most of them are correct(Good effort, I must appreciate, this will help all new generation Netizens to have atleast idea about older times). But films like Nastik, Babul,Paigaam, Navrang, Ek hi raasta, etc have been included among top 30 of 50s decade, whereas Dhool ka phool, Gunj uthi Shahnai were not included.

  Oh! I also just checked 1959 year. Gunj oothi Shehnai was biggest grosser "Neck to neck" with Anari that year. But it has been placed at 5th position. Remember Anari didnt have appeal everywhere, whereas GuS had appeal across the country. That is still considered as First Super duper Hit of Rajendra kumar(as a solo hero). Even Dhool ka phool celebrated Silver Jubilee at 65 centres(as per B R chopra) across the country. That was certainly among top 3 grossers of the year. But they have placed it at 4th position.

12 Laila Majnu

   Laila majnu at 12( in entire 70s decade)is biggest joke of the mellenium. And netzens go by these records as reliable! My God. Laila Majnu was big hit only in Northern India that also in certain centres like Punjab, Delhi etc. It was one of the biggest flops in centres like Bombay. It was pulled out within one week in many centres. And it is one of the Biggest Hits of 70s decade? Hahaha!!!!!!!

   Why dont you believe him when he told you that he has all the clippings of box office records collected painstakingly from yesteryears.

  You asked him proof? But my dear friend adnaan, go & click "Ablout us" & "Disclaimer" on boxofficeindia.com & then you would understand why Paragthegreat said that this site is not reliable. They have narrated example of 2 theatres from Jaipur. And explained how verdict could go wrong.

  Only Fool people like you can go by such websites. They havent even posted data on many years like 1983,84 etc. If they cant collect data from 80s how do you believe that they have correct data from 50s,60s & 70s? my dear friend dont go by such incorrect sites & base your opinions. Akshay kumar has to do lot of work to sit in the lines of Great Amitabh, Rajesh khanna, RK, Dilip, Dev, Rajendra kumar etc.
